Part time Receptionist/ Customer Service role

Hours: Part time role, approx. 15hrs per week

Location: Lady Lash, 1/251 King St Newtown (5 min walk from Newtown train station)

About us.

Since 2009, our salon has been known as Sydney’s premier destination for lashes and brows. We live, breathe and LOVE lashes, and many of our lash stylists are national and international award winners. We’re a fun team, we work hard and fast, but we also enjoy the company of our team and the perks of the job (i.e free lashes!).

Lady Lash HQ is about a 10min walk from Sydney Uni, so this could potentially be a great role for a Sydney Uni student looking for a job near-by. There is also potential for extra hours during Uni holidays, pending staff schedules/ holidays.

The role.

We are looking for a capable, energetic and friendly part time receptionist to assist our busy head office team within our Newtown salon location. The role is customer facing and will be perfect for an organised people-person. Your duties will mainly involve taking bookings, but also front-of-house management, welcoming clients to the salon and supporting the stylists with client re-bookings and queries.

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring clients have an amazing customer service experience, from the moment they contact us onwards
  • Front of house duties including phone enquiries, making bookings, emailing clients, start and end of day procedures, and banking
  • Controlling the appointment schedule using a computerised booking and POS system
  • Stock management and maintaining retail displays, light cleaning duties
  • Ensuring the salon is looking it’s very best at all time – ensuring OH&S and hygiene/health guidelines are being followed, managing cleaners and other maintenance contractors
  • Running a time-efficient bookings schedule
  • Creating and following efficient administration processes

We’re looking for someone who…

  • Is positive, genuine, friendly and warm. This role is dealing with customers all day long (they are lovely!) but it’s important you’re a friendly people person
  • Has experience in a reception/ booking coordinator type role
  • Is reliable, hard-working and can prioritise important tasks
  • Is tech savvy, has good computer skills
  • Has an excellent phone manner, organised and great time management skills
  • Has experience working in a salon or in a bookings-based business
